HOW MUCH DOES THE TEK RMD COST?

We sell through established medical equipment dealers, who set the final price based on the MSRP. Please contact the authorized dealer for your area/ country to find the price. If you are unable to find a dealer please reach out to info@matiarobotics.com.

IS THE TEK RMD APPROVED FOR USE?

The Tek RMD is both FDA cleared and has a CE Mark.

IS THE TEK RMD APPROPRIATE FOR MY HEIGHT/WEIGHT?

The Tek RMD is appropriate for users from 4’7” (140 cm) to 6’3” (190 cm) and can support weights from 88 lbs (40kg) to 265 lbs (120kg).

WHERE CAN I USE THE TEK RMD?

The Tek RMD allows for independent movement in both indoor and outdoor spaces, with the indoor or outdoor wheel configurations.

The indoor wheels have compact dimensions of 16.5” wide and 29.5” long (42 cm x 75 cm), allowing for usage in narrow spaces, including spaces inaccessible to a standard wheelchair. The indoor wheels in the Tek RMD are perfect for the home, office, school, or shopping mall.

The outdoor wheels have dimensions of 23.5” wide and 40.3” long (60 cm x 103 cm). Larger tires and a wider and longer footprint give the Tek RMD the stability to drive on uneven outdoor spaces safely. This includes sidewalks, paved walking and biking paths, as well as grass and gravel – under safe discretion. Maximum slope in outdoor mode, and at a safe driving position height of 6 degrees. Do we need to say something here about limiitation re the slope of a surface?

When not in use, the Tek RMD can simply be maneuvered by remote control to an out-of-the-way place, ensuring that you can sit on a couch, bed or chair, with the device out of your way.

HOW DO YOU CHARGE THE TEK RMD?

The device comes with a battery charger, which is plugged into a traditional electrical outlet. The device is fully charged in 4.5 hours and can be charged overnight.

WHAT IS THE BATTERY LIFE OF THE TEK RMD?

The Tek RMD contains two 12-volt lead acid batteries which are 20 AMP hour and _____. They will typically last 1 to 2 days on normal use, this depends on usage, user weight, and driving surface.

HOW DO YOU TRANSPORT THE TEK RMD?

The device can be transported in an adapted SUV or minivan sized vehicle or on a trailer hitch ramp. Using its remote control, the Tek RMD can be easily maneuvered up and down ramps for easy loading and unloading.

DOES INSURANCE COVER THE TEK RMD?

Insurance coverage varies depending on the country, state, type of insurance, and circumstances. We recommend talking with your local dealer to find out what insurance coverage is available. WHERE IS THE TEK RMD MADE?

The Tek RMD is made in the United States in Salt Lake City, Utah.

WHO IS ELEGIBLE FOR THE TEK RMD?

The Tek RMD is ideal for anyone who has the inability or difficulty standing or walking, this includes those with paralysis, spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, and other afflictions affecting one’s ability to stand or walk.

The Tek RMD does require a doctor’s prescription.

DOES THE TEK RMD REQUIRE LEG STRENGTH OR THE ABILITY TO STAND INDEPENDANTLY?
